Betsson has finalized the acquisition of Rhino Entertainment Group’s B2C business licensed in Canada, along with specific technology assets for its B2B operations. The transaction was completed in August 2026.
The scope of the deal covers several Rhino Group entities that hold licenses, personnel, and operational infrastructure for B2C activities across Ontario and the broader Canadian market. Additionally, Betsson has secured Rhino’s proprietary front-end and middleware technology.
Financial Terms and Strategic Goals
The financial structure of the deal totals approximately €64.5 million. This amount includes an upfront payment of €51.25 million at closing, with the remaining balance deferred for six months. The acquired technology is intended to enhance Betsson’s B2B portfolio and generate additional licensing revenue.
The initial announcement of this deal occurred in March. Prior to the July closing, Betsson Group also reported an expected partnership agreement with the Maltese football club Sliema Wanderers.
